UPDATED: Results slow to come in for DeKalb County elections

Results now showing CEO incumbent Burrell Ellis now leading with 59.98 percent; Jerome Edmondson with 19.79 percent and Gregory Adams with 20.23 percent.

Board of Commission incumbents all are in the lead so far in their respective Districts — Elaine Boyer, Sharon Barnes-Sutton, Lee May and Kathie Gannon.

For the Board of Education, District 2 incumbent Don McChesney has 42.53 percent, his opponent Marshall Orson has 57.3 percent so far.

In District 8, incumbent Pamela Speaks is ahead so far with 53.31 percent — her opponent Michell Clark has 47.45 percent.

In District 4 incumbent H. Paul Womack leads with 46.9 percent; opponents James Gilbert has 14.27 percent, James Kinney has 11.27 percent, James McMahan with 27.27 percent.

For the District 6 race — with no incumbent — Melvin Johnson leads so far with 39.42 percent, Denise McGill with 29.20 percent, Latasha Walker with 21.53 percent, Terrilyn Rivers-Cannon with 9.55 percent.

Brookhaven numbers now showing 55.61 percent voting “Yes” and 44.39 percent voting “No.”

Election results continue to trickle in with CEO incumbent Burrell Ellis leading with 60.19 percent, Gregory Adams following with 20.98 and Jerome Edmondson with 18.84 percent.

Early Brookhaven numbers show 53.05 percent voting “No,” with 46.95 percent voting “Yes.”

In DeKalb County elections, CEO incumbent Burrell Ellis leads by more than 1,000 votes – with 14 precincts reporting, according to county voter registration & elections officials.

Still no official results on the Brookhaven cityhood vote as of yet.
