Patrick Battey, M.D., Piedmont Healthcare’s board chair, has been named interim CEO for the health system. Battey has been a vascular surgeon at Piedmont since 1985 and has served in many leadership roles, including chair of Piedmont Hospital’s board and president of the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital medical staff.
Piedmont President of Finance and Development Greg Hurst has been named interim president and chief operating officer, responsible for all health system operations. Hurst has been with Piedmont since 2000 and has nearly 30 years experience in healthcare management.
