Only in their sixth season as a school, the North Paulding Wolfpack is hitting the gridiron with their second head coach, Scott Jones.

Jones gained his experience as the head coach for South Cobb High School and Kennesaw Mountain High School. He has not led a team since he left Kennesaw Mountain after the 2009 season.

The Wolfpack enter the year in a new region, 5-AAAAA, where they will face neighboring schools like Woodland and Allatoona in addition to familiar foes like East Paulding and Hiram. Jones said some key returning players include RB/OLB Cornelius Collins, WR/DB Matt Mixon, OL/DL Michael Barday, and FB/LB Jordan Rajnaugh.

In 2011, the Wolfpack’s only region win came against Hiram as they beat the Hornets 34-14. DL Josh O’Kelley from North Paulding was named to the AAAA Region 5 North first team while WR Joel Brooks, QB Zach Cummins and OL Blake Pinkett were named to the second team. Marcus Anderson was named to the first team as a punter and on the second team as a wide receiver. Nelson Bansemer and Jordan Rajnaugh were listed as honorable mention for the region team.
