The Cup, sponsored by the dealership, is presented annually to the high school with the best overall athletic performance, according to the Paulding County School District.
East Paulding Athletic Director J.R. Neal called the award “a collective effort of all of our teams excelling.”
“It’s our students, players, coaches and parents,” he said.
“It’s a big deal for the school and a big deal for the kids. There’s an expectation that we will win it again next year.”
Andrew Gill, vice president and general sales manager of Dallas Dodge, was scheduled to present the Cup to East Paulding High at halftime of its Friday night game against Woodland.
The competition considers the schools’ records in the following sports: football, boys and girls’ basketball, softball, boys and girls cross country, wrestling, volleyball, boys and girls tennis, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls track and field, boys and girls golf and baseball.
