On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and the Paulding County Fire Department Honor Guard teams and the Retired NYC Shields of Georgia will honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City.
The NYC Retired Shields of Georgia are comprised of retired New York City police and fire personnel who have made Georgia home. Many of these individuals were also present at the World Trade Center on that fateful day in 2001.
The ceremony is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the 9/11 memorial inside Mount Tabor Park at 1550 East Paulding Drive in Dallas.
