A win for Westminster would put it in the mix for a top-two region finish and the chance to host a first-round state playoff game.

Last time they met: Landmark Christian won 41-18 on Oct. 9, 2009 and lead the series 2-0.
Scouting the matchup: This is a crucial game, featuring two of the top three teams in Region 5A. The Golden Bears have plenty of momentum coming in with four straight wins, but will have to find a way to contain a potent Landmark offense that has averaged 33 points a game this season/

Eagle’s Landing Christian (7-1, 4-0 5A) at Pace (2-6, 1-3 5A)
When/Where: Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Riverview Athletic Complex, Mableton
Last time they met: Eagle’s Landing Christian won 58-14 on Oct. 16, 2009 and leads series 2-0
Scouting the matchup: Pace faces a daunting challenge as it takes on a powerhouse ELCA squad that is tied with Landmark Christian for first place in 5A and is averaging 47 points a game, while giving up only nine points a contest.

Lakeside-DeKalb (1-7, 1-6 6AAAAA) at North Atlanta (0-8, 0-7 6AAAAA)
When/Where: Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Grady Stadium
Last time they met: Lakeside-DeKalb won 37-6 on Oct. 18, 1991 in their only other meet-ing.
Scouting the matchup: This might be North Atlanta’s last chance to get a win this season since the winless Warriors close the regular season next Friday against state powerhouse Stephenson. North Atlanta will be facing a Lakeside squad that has given up 44 points a game. The Vikings only win of the season came against Dunwoody, a team that the Warriors lost to 28-17 last week.

Creekview (7-1, 4-0 7AAAAA (A)) at North Springs (0-8, 0-4 7AAAAA (A))
When/Where: Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Thermoplyae Stadium
Last time they met: This is their first meeting.
Scouting the matchup: It will be another touch challenge for North Springs in its quest to end its 31-game losing streak as it faces a Creekview team that sits atop the 7AAAAA (A) subregion standings.
Prediction: Creekview
Mount Vernon Presbyterian (2-6, 0-4 5A) at Strong Rock Christian (3-5, 0-4 5A)
When/Where: Friday, 7:30 p.m. at Strong Rock Christian, Locust Grove
Last time they met: Strong Rock Christian won 48-0 on Sept. 21, 2007 in their only other meet-ing.
Scouting the matchup: Mount Vernon will try to get its first region win of the year and try to break a four-game losing streak. A win might be a possibility for the Mustangs against Strong Rock Christian, which has also lost four in a row.
