“We have all seen the devastation caused by Sandy. Chief Spencer did an amazing thing by finding this opportunity for us to help,” he said the day after council voted to send the engine to the small Island Park department.
“When people lose everything they have a huge amount of needs. My wife and I will just happen to be up in New York City after Christmas and I thought this could be another chance to provide assistance.
“I’m still working on what items are needed but I’d love to bring another load of things up after Christmas.”
Igleheart said he welcomes any assistance from residents, businesses, churches and nonprofits to get this initiative going.
