On Dec. 14, Forest Park’s Tiffany Wilson recorded one of those rare triple-doubles. The 6-foot junior had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals in a 54-13 victory over Northgate.

“I was surprised because I usually don’t keep up with my stats when I play,” Wilson said.

Because of what Wilson has been asked to do while teammate Kayla Potts recovered from a serious knee injury, performances like this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“Tiffany has been pulling a huge load,” Forest Park girls’ coach Steven Cole said. “She’s had to move from the post position to play the point guard and on the wing. She has been kind of our ‘do-it-all person.’”

“The fact that I was able to come back and still be able to start and be able to do the things I was able to do last year was a good thing,” said Wilson, who also suffered a knee injury last season.

Wilson, who has a 3.6 grade-point average, said she plans to play basketball in college, while majoring in physical therapy.

“To know that we will have Tiffany the rest of this year and one more year, I really feel good about that,” Cole said.
