The senior finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 24.99 seconds, placed fourth in the 100 freestyle (57.66) and was fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.26) at the GISA state swimming and diving championships at Georgia Tech last weekend
Moore has established herself as one of the top swimmers in GISA during her time at AGS, finishing third in the 50 free, fifth in the 100 breast and sixth in the 100 free the previous two years.
She also placed third in the 50 free, fourth in the 100 free and sixth in the 100 breast as a freshman in 2010.
She has been on the AGS girls’ swimming team since she was in the seventh grade and has been a co-captain the last two years.
“She definitely has, even coming in as a freshman, been kind of our strongest swimmer on our team consistently,” Atlanta Girls’ School swimming coach Cat Stansbury said. “She has an intensity and a work ethic that helped build our swim program to what it is now.”
