Each player shared their commitment live as they did a public interview with the county athletic director, Don Breedlove.
Their highlight reels were shown on a green screen behind them.
First up was East Paulding.
Aaron Black, tight end, signed with Furman University in Greenville, S.C.
Estaban Ayala, punter, and Carson Hall, center, signed with Mars Hill University in North Carolina.
Kyler Neal, running back, signed with Georgia State University as a tailback.
Lorenz Suttles, outside linebacker, signed with North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C.
Kamani Thomas, running back, signed with Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Demetrius James, middle linebacker, signed with Benedict College in Columbia, S.C.
Two more East Paulding players were expected to sign later in the semester.
According to head coach Chuck Goddard, the process of recruiting and signing players is a hectic one and the introduction of a new website has made things much easier.
"[It's] more hectic than you'll ever know. Thank goodness for hudl.com which allows you to get film to the college coaches much easier than before," Goddard said.
Being a first year coach at East, Goddard said the talent was already there but he feels he and his staff put players in the right positions this season to best utilize them.
In regards to where his players signed, Goddard said he was pleased with their decisions.
"It's their decision, it's all about them, my job is just to make sure they are happy with their choices and I'm pleased with where they are going," said Goddard.
