Joined by three other high schools in the county, South Paulding brought out two of their players to announce where they signed, live at the Stars and Strikes in Dallas.

Josh Anderson and Carnell Hopson are the Spartans which signed today.

Anderson, fullback, signed with Troy University in Ala.

Hopson, defensive lineman, signed with Georgia State University.

Head coach Tim Glanton said he has seen some great progression in both players that have made them into great young men and players.

With Anderson coming in too quiet and Hopson coming in as a "hot head and kind of undisciplined", they are now "impact players".

"Both are impact guys and eventually will impact their universities. With their desire and passion for football, they're going to succeed and be big time contributors for their programs," said Glanton.

Glanton said he will have five or six more football players signing at an event in April as they still have some items to finalize and were unable to sign today.
