Demolition work began Thursday to remove the building located at 150 Hildebrand Drive. The property, acquired by the city in October, will be part of the planned extension of Bluestone Road, providing connectivity to the city center.
“The first phase of development focuses on providing connectivity from what is to be a redeveloped City Walk to the City Hall property. We still have awhile before the start of actual construction, but activity has begun,” said Sandy Springs Mayor Eva Galambos.
The city council approved the Phase I implementation plan for the city center in January.
