Holy Innocents’ players McKenzie Bolden, Reshaundra Owens and Erika Cassell were among those chosen to the girls’ team, along with Pace’s Evelyn Hobbs and Hannah Ferry, Atlanta International’s Ekua Akokwe and Mount Vernon Presbyterian’s Autumn Burnette.
Area players on the boys’ squad are Holy Innocents’ players Darryl Stewart and Sam Asbury, Pace’s Jordan Harris and Mount Vernon’ Arminians Kelmelis.
Woodward’s Solomon Mangham was named Region 6AAA boys’ player of the year and was a first-team selection. Mangham was joined on the 6AAA first team by Woodward teammate Trey Williams, St. Pius X’s Nick Harris and Blessed Trinity’s Patrick Lamar.
St. Pius’ Asia Durr was the pick for the 6AAA girls’ player of the year. Jasmine Carter of St. Pius was chosen for the All-6AAA girls’ first team, along with Woodward players Tiana Grissom and Alexandria Williams and Blessed Trinity’s Kourtney Keegan.
Blessed Trinity’s Megan Casey was a second-team selection in 6AAA.
Whitefield’s Eric Lockett was named Region 6A boys’ player of the year.
St. Francis players Kobi Simmons, Malik Beasley and Kaiser Gates were 6A East boys’ first-team selections, along with Mount Pisgah Christian’s Devin Peterson.
All-6A East girls’ choices included St. Francis’ Candice Williams, Nettie Brown, Abby Grant and Jade Davis, Fellowship Christian’s Kelsey Royalty and Mount Pisgah’s Emily Raymer.
