The Locust Grove pitcher will be called upon to have another stellar individual season to pace his young ballclub in yet another playoff push.
The 6 foot 2 senior hurler, a Point University signee, has both the repertoire and the experience to make that happen.
Plumley, a lefty, has proved capable of going the distance on the mound as well as coming in to settle things down — and opposing batters — when necessary. The Wildcats ace continues to build on that solid track record with his level of play this season.
Plumley is one of only five seniors on Locust Grove’s roster — which means he and the team’s other elders are expected to shoulder their fair share of the load and then some.
So far so good.
Locust Grove — 4-2 overall; 4-0 in Region 4-AAAA play — has managed to take care of business while improving from game to game.
