For starters, the junior defender is a leader on and off the field
“She’s our captain,” said Lady Bulldogs coach Curtis Engsberg. “She’s our best player; she works hard every day at practice and is willing to do whatever it takes to win a game.”
Jones, in her third season on the Lady Bulldogs’ varsity squad, has seen her game steadily progress during that time. She’s become quite a handful for opposing players and coaches.
“Her best skill is her strength on the dribble, but her anticipation and ability to read the game are what really make her stand out,” said Engsberg.
The outgoing Jones is also the consummate student-athlete.
In addition to having one of the highest GPAs on the team, she balances her soccer duties with several other extracurricular activities — including student government, honor and service organizations.
What you see is what you get with Jones. The only mystery about her now is where she’ll play at the next level.
Jones, uncommitted at present, is currently considering several colleges and universities.
