Anti-Aging Skin Studio by Renata, at 11285 Elkins Rd., L-3A , has specialized in facials, microdermabrasion and chemical peels since it opened in Alpharetta five years ago.
But now owner Renata Nall is reaching a new client base with services like spray tanning, massage, body wraps and the ancient Chinese practice of cupping.
A lifetime animal-lover, Nall said most of the products used in her studio are vegan and none are tested on animals.
In keeping with the studio’s theme of showing kindness toward animals, Nall and her staff accept donations of food and pet accessories for the animal shelter in Forsyth County and volunteer there.
“It’s a priority to us to take care of animals,” Nall said. “We think its an honor to own and foster pets.”
Though Nall has worked in the medical aesthetic field since 1993, the skin care studio focuses on using natural products and practices.
“The holistic part of our business is picking up, so I’m really happy about that,” she said.
Most recently, the studio, which is a member of the Roswell Business Alliance, has started offering holistic spray tanning and soft tissue massages, by 20-year massage therapy veteran Patti Kern.
“Massage therapy doesn’t have to be painful. We try to help people relax to relieve the stress that brought them to us,” Kern said. “I feel so blessed when I can help someone who is in pain.”
Other services offered at the studio include ionic foot baths, which detox the body and remove foreign matter, and infrared body wraps, which burn 1,000 to 2,000 calories per session and aid in cellulite reduction and pain relief.
The studio often offers special prices and packages through Groupon.com and its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/antiagingskinstudiobyrenata.
