Camp used to mean stuffing your backpack full of outdoor equipment and heading off to the mountains for a week, but now there is a variety of day camps in the area, offering activities from circus entertainment to cooking and sports for kids of all ages.
The city of Sandy Springs offers paddle boarding, swimming lessons, tumbling and gymnastics classes, as well as the traditional sports such as soccer and tennis.
“We strive to help each camper with their confidence in sports and offer super summer sports camp that has a different theme each day,” said Trevor Ramos, the city’s athletic director.
The Circus Camp, which offers sessions at Davis Academy and Epstein School, gives kids a high-flying introduction into circus performing arts with advanced aerial camp. Extreme magic camp may turn your child into the next Harry Houdini.
