Livable Buckhead, Live Thrive and Atlanta City Council members Howard Shook and Yolanda Adrean are partnering to host the annual Buckhead Eco Collection Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 515 Garson Drive.

The event will give Buckhead residents and businesses an eco-friendly way to do some spring cleaning and safely dispose of items not meant for regular trash pickup. Businesses must show proof that they are located in Buckhead (a business card is acceptable). Businesses should contact Scott Cantrell at to arrange participation, which will be separate from Saturday’s event.

Residents will be asked to show proof of residency, such as a utility bill. Eligible ZIP codes are: 30305, 30309, 30318, 30319, 30324, 30326, 30327 and 30342. Residents must pre-register, and participation is limited to the first 500.

There is a suggested $20 donation for participants. Donations are tax-deductible and can be made securely online on Livable Buckhead’s website. Donations will also be accepted on the day of the event. Please make checks payable to Livable Buckhead Inc.

The event also is seeking up to 50 volunteers, and residents must be 17 or older to volunteer. For a complete list of items accepted at the event and more information, visit Livable Buckhead’s website.
