The Lady Wolfpack’s No. 2 singles player has plenty of experience from which to draw as she prepares to grind out her fourth season on the squad.
“Brianna is a smart player,” said Woodland coach Brooke Niemeyer. “She works the court and positions the ball well.
“Her speed helps her make the tough shots … Brianna plays hard and never quits.”
Anybody who’s seen her in action — especially those in the Woodland camp — knows maximum effort when they see it.
That kind of thing tends to rub off on other players.
“Brianna is one of our three seniors and assumes the role of the ‘veteran,’ said Niemeyer. “Her teammates know she takes every match seriously and puts it all out on the court.”
That’s not the only place where she excels.
“Brianna is a student-athlete first,” Niemeyer added, citing Griffin’s heavy advanced academic course load.
Now, that’s max effort all around.
