The Eagle’s Landing centerfielder has been in the starting lineup for all three years of his prep career.
“He’s gotten bigger, faster, stronger … and just better at knowing the game,” said Golden Eagles coach Toby Evans. “He has good instincts and has become one of our playmakers.”
Holloway, a 6 foot, 200-pound junior, has especially been solid at the plate — hitting around .400.
Said Evans: “He can hit for power, he’s got real good speed … plus, he’s a leader both on and off the field.”
Holloway has proven capable of shouldering his fair share of the load while consistently giving Eagle’s Landing a much needed lift.
It is that ability — showing up and out every game — that separates the good from the great.
At the rate he’s going, Holloway will have left no doubt about in which category he belongs by the time his prep career is over.
