Chris Torres adds plenty of firepower to the potent offensive attack of the Holy Spirit Prep boys’ soccer team.

The junior forward/midfielder was second on the team in scoring with six goals and led in assists with 10 as of last Wednesday to help lead a Cougar squad that had outscored its opponents 29-2 through its first four games of the 2013 season.

Torres scored two goals and had two assists in Holy Spirit Prep’s 9-0 victory over Dominion Christian last Wednesday, and had three goals in the Cougars’ 10-0 win over the Heritage School March 21.

“Chris is a real hard worker,” Holy Spirit Prep coach Clayton Schmitt said. “He’s the consummate teammate and works real hard in practice. He’s a very dangerous attacking player. He’s got college-level talent. He’s really strong on the ball, very creative offensively. He’s always a threat to get the ball in the goal. He draws so much attention; he’s able to pass the ball to our guys who are open.”

Torres plays club soccer for North Atlanta Soccer Association, where he is a member of its NASA 14B Royal team.
