The dynamic senior forward has registered 26 goals in just 12 matches — already a personal best for a season.
“She works hard … her work ethic during games and in practice sets her apart,” said Lady Raiders coach Charlcye Henderson. “Plus, she’s quick and also strong on the ball … just has a desire to win, to score goals.”
The 5 foot 5 Veasley has pulled off a neat two-fold trick; she’s made her mark while helping to rejuvenate the Redan soccer program. The Lady Raiders are currently zeroing in on a playoff berth.
“She’s a leader and she knows where everybody is supposed to be on the field,” said Henderson of her star player.
The Redan faithful would be wise to savor the remaining moments in Veasley’s stellar prep career.
Before long, she’ll be moving on to the collegiate level. Veasley will next suit up for Alabama A & M.
That just means there will be plenty more scoreboards to light up.
