‘Annie’ in Dallas

The Main Street Players present the musical “Annie” at the Dallas Theater and Civic Center Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale at theater’s box office and online at for $12 regular tickets, $9 discount tickets which include seniors 62 and older; child; students; military with ID, and Groups of 10 or more.

Farmers market

Paulding County Farm Bureau Farmers Market will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Fridays through Nov. 22.

Local farmers market featuring fresh, local seasonable produce, eggs, jams, jellies, relishes, goat cheese, local honey, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, etc. as well as local artisans and their crafts.

The market will be at 2515 Marietta Hwy, Dallas at the intersection of Ga. Hwy. 92 and Ga. Hwy. 120 across from Stars and Strikes.

The Downtown Dallas Merchants Annual Yard Sale is set for Saturday at 9 a.m. on Main Street in Dallas.

Miss Relay pageant

The third annual Paulding County Miss Relay for Life Pageant will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at New Season Church, 4457 Atlanta Hwy. in Hiram.

Entry Fee is $50 with photogenic entry of $10.

No photos can be larger than 8 inches by 10 inches and name must be included on back of photo.

The event is sponsored by the Paulding County government team. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Art competition

Paulding Fine Arts’ 23rd annual spring competition is set for Saturday, with awards reception Sunday.

Artists will drop off work at the old county courthouse at 11 Courthouse Square in Dallas May 4 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. A reception and awards presentation will be May 5 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Paulding Fine Arts Association meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Fine Arts Gallery in the Dallas Civic Center at 121 E. Griffin St.

‘Soldier’s Life’

A presentation titled “Soldier’s Life” is set for Saturday at Pickett’s Mill Battlefield Historic Site in Dallas.

Learn about the life of the common soldier who fought in Georgia. A Park Ranger dressed as a soldier will display the items soldiers carried while marching and fighting in north Georgia in 1864.

Cost is $3 and $5.50.
