An All-Region performer on the basketball court, Davis drew praise from head coach Robert White for her ability to play inside and out, and defend and of the five positions on the court.
With a lacrosse stick in her hand the story has been much the same in the spring.
Starring for a Centennial team that just completed the school’s first undefeated regular season, Becca is among the Lady Knights team leaders in every statistical category — notching 36 goals, 39 assists, 48 ground balls, 52 faceoff draws and 64 interceptions in 17 games.
“Becca is the ultimate midfielder and has a major impact in all areas of the game,” said Centennial girls lacrosse coach Angela Brunner. “She is a very consistent player and I can rely on her to always make an impact.”
Brunner went on to point out that Davis’ impact can come in the form of ball control, defensive pressure or on the attack; but her contributions as a team leader can often supersede her gaudy stats. “Becca is the ultimate teammate and captain,” said Brunner. “She just has a natural ability to lead, plays with heart and has the innate ability to lift her teammates up when they get down.”
