Barron currently serves as elections administrator for Williamson County, Texas, where he has supervised 30 election cycles.
He has served in various capacities in the public and private sector with elections-related services since 1999.
In Texas, Barron has supervised numerous aspects of elections including early voting, voter registration, absentee voting, and implementation of electronic voting systems.
He earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Oregon and a master of arts degree from Antioch University, as well as several professional certificates.
“I am confident that Mr. Barron will serve the citizens of Fulton County with integrity and professionalism,” Mary Carole Cooney, chairwoman of the Fulton County Board of Registration & Elections, said in a statement. “He brings a wealth of experience to lead this department into the future.”
