Jeremy Tyler Noel, 26, of McDonough was found stabbed to death Tuesday night at his home on Kendall Lane in the Bridgewater Crossing subdivision in McDonough.

A family member had arrived at the home, discovered the victim and called 911.

During the investigation by Henry County Police, evidence pointed to the victim’s nephew, Brandon Leron Oliver, 24, also of McDonough, as a suspect.

Oliver had fled the scene but was apprehended and charged with murder.

He also has an outstanding warrant from the city of Jefferson.

"We are not clear what provoked the attack," Sgt. Joey Smith said in a statement.

Oliver is being held in the Henry County Jail.
