President of the Airport Area Chamber of Commerce
My father had eight children. He set a really good example for me as a family man. I’ve tried to emulate him, as far as his demeanor and the leadership he showed others. His example is a huge part of why I’m so active with the chamber.

As a father to one beautiful daughter, I’ve always wanted her to know the love I feel for her. I made it a point to make sure I’ve always respected her so she would learn that we all deserve respect. It gives me comfort knowing she’s aware there is nothing I wouldn’t do within the realm of the law and, yes, she knows I would risk my life for her. Also, as a father, I’ve made it known that I’m neither an anchor to hold her back nor a sail to take her to that destination, but to know I will be a guiding light whose love will show her the way. It’s been said from the instant he lays eyes on her, a father adores his daughter. Whoever she grows up to be, she will always be my little girl in pigtails. Being her father makes me feel like Christmas!

My dad was my baseball coach. He was my role model. I didn’t have to look far for role models. My dad had this saying about everything that you do, do it right and do it with precision because you never know who is watching. My summers were summers with my father. In my family, my mother was all the emotions for us, but my dad was the law. Anything that happened with punishment or making decisions, it was him. I have come to respect him for that.
