In a news release, Music Midtown Promoter Peter Conlon Tuesday officially announced the dates, music lineup and the addition of a third stage to the two-day event. The festival returns to Piedmont Park Sept. 20 and 21 and features more than 30 artists.

“Music Midtown is always evolving and this year’s expansion of the festival footprint is part of that. At this time, we’re not increasing capacity, our move into Oak Hill will allow us to feature more music on a third stage,” said Conlon, of Live Nation. “The Roxy stage will be located near the festival entrance on 10th Street and feature some terrific talent throughout the weekend.”

Music Midtown will feature the following artists, in alphabetical order:

o Sept. 20: Cake, Drivin’ N’ Cryin’, Jane’s Addiction, Journey, North Mississippi Allstars, Phoenix, The Mowgli’s and 2 Chainz

o Sept. 21: Arctic Monkeys, Capital Cities, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Mona, Queens of the Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Reignwolf, Tegan & Sara, The Black Lips, The Neighbourhood, The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Weezer and ZZ Ward

“The quality of talent at Music Midtown makes a weekend pass the ultimate experience for music fans,” Conlon said. “Our lineup showcases an appreciation for the different genres and the variety of music our attendees want to hear. Combine that with the festival amenities including more cuisine and beverage selections and additional onsite activations and the value of Music Midtown is second to none.”
