The students were juniors who participated over the past school year from all five Douglas County high schools. Over the past 10 months, Youth Leadership Douglas students participated in activities designed to help them acquire and broaden their knowledge of not only social and business etiquette but also of local government, business and civic activities.
The program allowed students to embrace the changes of technology by submitting their assignments through various social media outlets and also to select their assignments based on their personal interests. It consisted of fall and spring sessions.
