In a news release, the Sandy Springs Police Department Wednesday announced it is looking for the person responsible for a robbery that occurred June 21 just before 4 a.m. at the Shell gas station located at 7800 Holcomb Bridge Road at the intersection of Spalding Drive. The suspect pulled a black semi-auto pistol and black plastic bag from his waist band, pulled the slide on the gun and ordered the clerk to fill the bag with cash.

It is believed the same man has committed three other gas station robberies in metro Atlanta. He wears the same black wave cap, tan and white shoes, and uses a black semi-auto pistol. He is suspected of a robbery that occurred June 16 in south Rockdale County, June 18 on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Chamblee and June 18 on Paces Ferry Road in Cobb County.

He is described as a black male, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 and 140 to 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on this person’s identity is asked to contact Sandy Springs Police Criminal Investigation Unit Detective J.T. Williams at (770) 551-6937 and/or jtwilliams@sandyspringsga.gov or Sandy Springs Police at (770) 551-6900.

Sandy Springs Police is a partner with Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta. Persons providing information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the two robberies stated above are eligible for a cash reward.
