In an email to the media Wednesday afternoon, Sandy Springs spokesman Dan Coffer said one lane of Johnson Ferry Road, west of Riverside Drive heading into Cobb County, is closed and will remain closed during Wednesday afternoon’s commute.

The lane is closed as Georgia Power replaces a power pole dislodged as a result of a vehicular accident at the intersection of Johnson Ferry and Riverside earlier Wednesday.

In addition, Georgia Power will shut down power to the traffic signal at Riverside and Johnson Ferry as it replaces the damaged power pole. The Sandy Springs Police Department will conduct traffic control at the intersection. Motorists should expect delays.
