Senior wide receiver Daniel Clements made his case for being one of the top receivers in Georgia against Harrison on Sept. 6, securing a game-high 179 yards receiving along with 11 catches for two touchdowns in Alpharetta’s 36-7 victory over the Hoyas. With the Raiders trailing 9-7 heading into the second half, Clements asserted his authority in the contest, getting both of his TDs in the third quarter, giving the Raiders a 22-7 lead that would never be relinquished.

Clements opened the season with 129-yard receiving effort in the Raiders’ overtime loss to Milton on Aug. 30. He had 1,286 yards receiving in the 2012 season with 12 touchdowns and was named to the All-Region team.

“Daniel worked hard in the offseason to transform his body,” Alpharetta head coach Jason Dukes said. “He’s always had great hands along with his technique and attention to detail has been outstanding. The sky is the limit.”

The Raiders, who are coming off a 24-23 loss to 2012 state playoff finalist Lovejoy last week, will open Region 6-AAAAAA play on the road at West Forsyth this upcoming Friday.
