EDITOR:

In the Sept. 4 issue you had a letter from Nancy Hart Battaglia about the need to save our honeybees. It was a well-researched and important letter to get people to learn more about why honeybees are critical to our food chain.

Her letter suggests calling our Congressperson and asking them to support the Saving America’s Pollinators Act of 2013. It makes no difference which side of the political aisle you’re on as we all have to eat. Many spray their yards, bushes and trees.

These pesticides are doing far more damage than we’ve ever been told. Hopefully you will call your Congressperson and learn more natural ways of combating weeds and bugs.
