“I have to thank my line,” Terry said. “They pushed the whole game. It was a hard and physical game. They just kept feeding me the ball and I just had to keep doing what I had to do.”
Terry also said he wants to rush for at least 1,200 yards and score 10 TDs but those aren’t the only reasons he enjoys playing the position.
“I like the physicality of it,” he said. “As a running back, you are going to get hit every play. Whether you have the ball or not or are blocking or running you are going to get hit. Everybody can’t play running back and that is what I also like about the position.”
In addition, Terry and the Seminoles are competing with a sense of inspiration due an unfortunate occurrence.
“As a team we have gone through a lot,” he said. “We already have a chip on our shoulder since we lost DeAntre Turman. That made it important that we needed to do something good this season. Our goal is to do it for ‘Deuce.’ That is what we say everyday after practice.”
