“We’re able to get our north Fulton business and community leaders out on the Country Club of the South golf course for the entire day, which definitely gives them some great networking opportunities that just build relationships,” said Debbie Ryals, the chamber’s director of communications and events.
“Business relationships forged through this annual event have benefitted the chamber and the community as a whole,” said chamber president and CEO Brandon Beach.
The golf classic is a long-standing tradition for the chamber, which has been around for 40 years. The event is the organization’s largest fundraiser, topping the annual chairmen’s gala and the business expo, which are the other two largest fundraisers, Ryals said.
“The proceeds from [the golf classic] allow the chamber to continue our mission, which is to be the catalyst for economic development, business growth and quality of life in north Fulton,” she said. “These fundraisers that the chamber does allow us to continue the programs and the services that benefit area businesses and the community as a whole.”
She expects 144 golfers to attend this year’s classic. The event has been repeatedly sold out.
In addition to golfing, Regency Fine Art will sponsor a silent auction as part of the fundraiser.
“They tend to bring out a great collection of sports memorabilia and golf memorabilia that our participants have found very unique and very appealing,” Ryals said.
The shotgun start for the classic will be at 11 a.m. Registration and the driving range will open at 9:30 a.m. For those interested in participating, contact Ryals at (678) 397-0556 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to check on availability.
