The Lithia Springs volleyball team wrapped up its regular season at nearby Westlake before going into the postseason.

Having a 16-3 record before Oct. 3, senior setter and outside hitter Anaiah Boyer made a large contribution to the team’s success this year.

Boyer was described by head coach Telicia Leonard as a “Renaissance athlete,” being dominant in multiple areas of the game such as assists, kills, serves, blocks and digs.

“She is a very focused player; she has excellent vision while in play -- she reads her opponents well, makes adjustments when necessary and dominates when things become challenging,” said Leonard.

As one of only two seniors on the squad, Boyer has been a leader for the Lions this season as well – supporting her teammates when things got tough and praising them when they accomplished their goals or achieved success on or off the court.

According to Leonard, Boyer is more than an “exemplary” athlete, but a “stellar” student as well.

“Her most memorable moment actually involves her activities outside of volleyball — she is a student volunteer at a local elementary school and her engagement and interaction with the students is amazing,” Leonard said.

As a senior, Boyer has finished the final regular season of her high school career. She has verbally committed to play volleyball for Kennesaw State University.
