Three North Fulton softball teams will enter postseason play in the hopes of winning a state championship.

Cambridge has become one of the surprise teams in the entire state, winning 20 games this season as a second-year program. This marked a significant improvement from the seven wins in the 2012 campaign. The Bears will begin play in the Class AAAAA playoffs at Allatoona this evening. “I’m extremely proud of how far the girls have come this year,” said Cambridge head coach Chip Flemmer. “I feel we haven’t reached our ceiling yet.”

Blessed Trinity will seek its third consecutive trip to the Elite Eight in Columbus when the Titans open its postseason against Jackson County in Class AAA play today.

Milton recovered from a slow start to the 2013 campaign and earned five wins in region 5-AAAAAA play, gaining five the fourth seed in the playoff bracket. The Eagles will begin the first round today at North Gwinnett.
