Fulton County Registration & Elections Monday mailed about 24,000 voter registration cards to residents in the cities of Atlanta and East Point, the department announced Monday in a news release.

The majority of voters who will receive cards are in precincts affected by redistricting. Specific Atlanta precincts that will receive cards include 02A, 02J, 08L, 09M and 06Q. East Point precincts include EP01 and EP03. Cards for voters in Atlanta Precinct 06N will be mailed Tuesday.

Some voters who will receive cards this week did not receive precinct cards last month due to data errors affecting their assigned precincts. A very small number of voters (fewer than 500) may have previously received cards that included errors, which will be corrected by their new cards. Other voters who received correct cards last month will receive duplicate cards with identical, correct information, because any precinct that was affected errors will receive cards in its entirety.

Early voting will continue through Friday at eight locations open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Election Day, Nov. 5, voters must vote at their assigned precinct.
