Douglas County voter turnout remains low

Douglas County is following a voting trend in off-year elections.

West Tallon, the county’s director of communications and relations said just at 1 p.m. today that today's election turnout has been very low, which is usually the case in "off years' when there is no presidential election.

"I have not heard of people waiting in line to vote at any of Douglas County's 25 precincts, Tallon said.

Although he said the county could not predict the turnout today until the polls close., he said early indications throughout the day reflect it to be slim..
