The polls have closed in Hiram for today’s city council election.

According to Paulding County Election Supervisor Deidre Holden, the 7 p.m. voting totals showed 62 residents having voted today in Hiram while two other residents voted early.

Hiram residents are choosing a successor to Hiram City Council member Earlene Graham who was not seeking reelection.

Those seeking the seat in the election are Kathy Carter and Peggy Howland.

Once the polls close at 7 p.m., Holden expects to have all the votes counted by around 8 p.m.

Election results can be viewed on the Web site.
