Pickett's Mill to offer nighttime tours of Civil War battlefield

Fall Candlelight Tours are set for Nov 16 at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. at Pickett’s Mill Battlefield Historic Site in Dallas.

Confederate and Federal soldiers will recreate the night attack of the Battle of Pickett’s Mill. During guided tours, visitors will witness Brig. Gen. Hiram Granbury’s brigade advance into the dark ravine and Capt. Thomas Key’s artillery bombardment.

The cost is $8. Register in advance at http//friendsofgastateparks.org/pickettsmill.
