The USDA/Natural Resources Conservation Service has announced that the 2014 Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) cutoff date is Dec. 6. An onsite signup for Paulding County residents is set for Nov. 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Paulding County Extension office, 530 W. Memorial Drive, Dallas.

The program is available to farmers, including vegetable/fruit producers, livestock and forestry producers.

It is a voluntary program that provides financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns and for opportunities to improve soil, water, plants, animals, energy, and air on agricultural land and non-industrial private forestland.
