“Kathryn has been blessed with ability,” head coach Bill Thorn said. “Her commitment to training has made her good.”
Foreman said, “It was exciting to win the championship against the top runners in the state.”
The Douglas County resident started running for the War Eagles’ program in the seventh grade and has seen improvements every season.
“I’ve gotten physically and mentally stronger as a runner,” Foreman stated. “We didn’t have many competitive meets last season but I’ve had close races this year where I’ve gotten better at racing instead of running up front by myself.”
The sophomore also has been recognized as one of the top prep runners in Georgia by the Atlanta Track Club. Foreman plans to run for the War Eagles’ track team this upcoming spring in the one- and two-mile distances.
Foreman also trains with the Peachtree City Flash running club.
She is a member of the Beta and Spanish club at Landmark Christian and upon entering college, plans to major in physical therapy.
