Fitness Revolution Roswell, a local personal training facility, is teaming up with North Fulton Community Charities to provide holiday food for local families while minimizing holiday weight gain.

Residents who donate a frozen turkey or $20 of side items from the charities’ Thanksgiving Donations List, which can be found at nfcchelp.org/holiday/thanksgiving/,will be provided with a free, 60-minute, “damage control” workout at Fitness Revolution Roswell on Thanksgiving Day at 8 a.m.

Andre and Deidre Coman, owners of Fitness Revolution Roswell, are firm believers in giving back to the community.

Andre Coman said, “With the current plight of the economy, it’s clear that we all really need to stick together and help each other out when we can. We have a really tight-knit group of clients and they always go above and beyond in helping others.”

The Turkey Day Workout is meant to burn calories, deplete muscle glycogen and ramp up metabolism.

Participants can bring any friends or family members who would also like to participate in the pre-feast activity.

Fitness Revolution Roswell will have an informational table set up at the Kroger on Haynes Bridge Road on Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m.

Those interested should bring their donations to the Fitness Revolution Roswell location at 1575 Old Alabama Road, Suite 105 before Saturday, or they can donate directly to the charities at 1425 Market Blvd. on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To sign up, those interested should go to www.fitnessrevolutionroswell.com/turkey-day-workout/ or call (404) 287-2851.
