While Jordan Burrow may not be one of the best known players on the Milton boys’ basketball team’s talented roster, he is certainly one of the most important.

The 6-foot-1 junior point guard gives Milton some support on the offensive side with 9.4 points a game – including 17 in a 73-48 victory over Lassiter Dec. 10 – as well as four rebounds and three assists per contests.

However, it is defense where Burrow makes his biggest impact with 5.8 steals a game, including nine in the Lassiter game.

On a team with NCAA Division I signees such as Mo Lewis (Navy) and Shawn O’Connell (Georgia Southern) and a highly-regarded Division I prospect in Chris Lewis, Milton coach Matt Kramer said Burrow holds his own.

“Jordan is the unsung guy here,” Kramer said. “He’s not a guy a lot of people are talking about. To me, he has Division I tools and we want to continue to develop his game. With Jordan, it’s real simple – when he’s playing well, we’re functioning really well. I think you can say that about most good teams at point guard.”
