Brookhaven launched a new website Friday, providing more information and easier access for residents via

The new site is easy to navigate with an “I want to” menu that allows visitors to quickly find information to do tasks such as file a police report, reserve a park facility or get a building permit.

“We are excited to unveil the first phase of our new website to allow residents, businesses and visitors easy access to information about our city,” City Manager Marie. L. Garrett said.

The site also includes detailed information on the mayor, city council and each city department, as well as information on hotels and tourism for visitors.

The new website now houses all forms, ranging from building permit applications to business license forms, in one easy-to-find location. It also has interactive tools, including the GIS WebApp that allows users to view city boundaries and districts, look up zoning and parcel numbers and search properties by owner and house number.

Additional updates and interactive tools will soon be added.

The site was designed by Vision Internet, which also designed sites for the cities of Atlanta, Decatur and Smyrna.
