The Davis Academy in Sandy Springs will present An Evening With Cokie Roberts Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. This free, public community event will be held at Davis’ lower school, 8105 Roberts Drive.

Roberts is a political commentator for both ABC News and National Public Radio. From 1996 to 2002 she and Sam Donaldson co-anchored the weekly ABC interview program “This Week.” She has won three Emmy Awards, along with numerous other honors, during her career of more than 40 years in broadcasting.

Roberts has written several bestselling books, including “We Are Our Mothers’ Daughters,” “From This Day Forward” (co-written with her husband Steven V. Roberts), and “Our Haggadah: Uniting Traditions for Interfaith Families.” Her new and first children’s book, “Founding Mothers: Remembering the Ladies,” introduces young readers to the women who helped forge our nation — from Abigail Adams to Martha Washington.

In an exclusive appearance at Davis, Roberts will speak about her career and books. Seven of her bestselling titles, courtesy of Decatur bookseller Little Shop of Stories, will be available for purchase and for signing at the event.

Due to limited seating, RSVPs are requested. To reserve a seat, email rsvp@davisacademy.org.
