Thirteen area businesses were on Forbes Travel Guide’s list of top hotels, restaurants and spas, released Wednesday.
The Four Seasons in Midtown was the only local five-star hotel in the group. The local four-star hotels were the InterContinental, the Mandarin Oriental, the Ritz-Carlton and the St. Regis, all in Buckhead; the Loews Atlanta in Midtown and the Ritz-Carlton downtown. TWELVE Centennial Park downtown was listed as a recommended hotel.
While no local restaurants were listed as five-star ones, four received four-star ratings: Bacchanalia and Quinones at Bacchanalia, both in west Midtown; Park 75 at the Four Seasons in Midtown; and Restaurant Eugene in Buckhead. No local spas received five-star ratings but one, Remede Spa at the St. Regis in Buckhead, earned four stars.
In other news, 26 local businesses were on AAA’s annual ratings, released last week.
The Four Seasons, the InterContinental, the St. Regis and the Ritz-Carlton’s Buckhead and downtown locations each received the Five Diamond Award. The Grand Hyatt, the J.W. Marriott, the Mandarin Oriental, the Westin, the W, all in Buckhead; the Loews, Renaissance and the W, all in Midtown; and the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and the W, both downtown; were the only local hotels to earn the Four Diamond Award.
