Brianna Perry became Centennial’s go-to player during a recent one-week stretch.

The 5-foot-9-inch sophomore guard led Centennial in scoring with 14 points a game through a four-game period.

She scored 16 points each in a 47-34 victory over West Forsyth Jan. 17 and a 48-40 win over Alpharetta Jan. 21.

Perry has been a key player on a deep and balanced Centennial squad which enjoyed its most successful season in team history last year with a school-record 18 wins and has continued its success this year with a 13-7 record as of Tuesday.

Centennial coach Robert White said scoring comes naturally for his sophomore guard.

“She has a nose for the basket,” White said. “She’s a very good scorer. She’s a good 3-point shooter. She attacks the basket really well. She’s left-handed, which surprises people when she gets after them. She’s very long. She gets around people really easily because of her length.”
