The 6-foot-6-inch junior post player, who transferred this year from Drew High School in Riverdale, leads the Raiders in both scoring (19.3 points a game) and rebounding (13 rebounds per contest).
Cacok helped propel Alpharetta to a nine-game winning streak in January with a number of strong performances.
He scored 28 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in Alpharetta’s 75-70 victory over Chattahoochee Jan. 17, had 27 points and 16 rebounds in a 79-65 win over Centennial Jan. 21 and 27 points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two blocked shots and two assists in an 85-49 win over North Forsyth Jan. 24.
“The shots he is taking – all his shots are good shots,” Alpharetta coach Fredrick Hurt said. “He’s had several games where he has shot it 80 percent from the field and he’s had a couple of games where he’s missed only one field goal. He’s taking everything right around a basket. If he can shoot a 15-footer, he will. He really tries to finish in transition and we get around the basket and try to get the ball to him.”
